Reserva 51 American Oak wins Crystal Taste Award

Based in Belgium, the International Taste Institute is a world leader in the evaluation and certification of food and drinks by experts. Since 2015, it has evaluated more than 15,000 foods and drinks worldwide following a rigorous tasting methodology and an acknowledged international board composed of chefs and sommeliers.

Reserva 51 Carvalho Americano has been awarded three stars in the Superior Taste Award 2019 from the International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi) for the third consecutive year, raising its level to Crystal Award, becoming the only cachaça and the only Brazilian product to achieve this award this year.

In the 2019 assessment, Reserva 51 Carvalho Americano scored above 90% in four of the five items evaluated and reached a total score of 91.3%, being classified as an exceptional product, according to the iTi criteria.

In addition to Reserva 51 Carvalho Americano, two more products from the Reserva 51 line and Cachaça 51 Exportação stood out in the Superior Taste Award 2019 (table below).

Since its launch in 2009, Reserva 51 has exceeded all quality standards and has outstanding achievements. The product won the gold medal at the Brussels World Contest - Brazil edition in 2018 with double gold and awarded gold in 2014 and silver in 2015. Also, it received the silver medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition and was elected the fifth-best cachaça in Brazil in the 2nd Ranking of the Cúpula da Cachaça and the Paladar section (from the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo), in 2016
